Munreary Aphrodite ET Joins The Flock

Having been invited to judge the Northern Irish Inlamb sale, I gave the championship to 1st prize ewe lamb "Munreary Aphrodite ET" a mid march ET born ewe lamb. She is sired by Skiddaw View Trapper the Royal Highland Show Champion 2014 and later sold that year for 5,000gns.She was out of a homebred dam sired by Topflinte Real Deal ET 2,000gns. She was purchased for the sale top price at 1,200gns. We look to seeing Aphrodite mature and her progeny in the future in the flock.

Three New Leading Ladies Join The Flock

Purchased at the Premier Inlamb Beltex Sale at Borderway Mart.

Lot 121 Airyolland Panache ET - ARY.P087. Panache was purchased on the success stories of her siblings Kingsize, King Of Clubs, Looby Loo, Looby Lie (6,000gns) & Peak-A-Boo. Panache has produced three sons at 2,000gns & Grand Dam to a 4,600gns ram lamb. 

 

Lot 362 Matt's Asset ET - MAT.A023. Asset is sired by Pentland Showman (3,400gns) & out of Woodies Sunkist a Natasha x Norris ewe. Asset is full sister to Wazza. Asset had stood 3rd Ewe Lamb at Balmoral Show 2015.

 

Lot 367 Matt's Almighty ET - MAT.A003. Almighty is a Glenkeen Sanders (5,500gns) daughter out of Nelly Furtado de Noblehaye a daughter of the reowned Musclor. Nelly Furtado was 1st aged ewe & reserve female champion at Royal Highland Show 2015.

Last few Local Shows "Round Up"

Masham Sheep Fair

Under judge Andrew Graham he awarded Glanton Wizzard 1st Aged/Shearling Ram then Male Champion finishing up with the Championship again. Finishing our show season on a high.

 

Egglestone Show

Taking the Championship was Glanton Wizzard.  Wizzard is a son of Corra Rambo a son of Beachy Perfection and out of Kingledores Rowan ET a full sister to Ramasis. Wizzard was purchased for £2000 in Kelso Ram Sale ealier that month.

 

Wenleydale Show 

Under judge Jack Buckle Quarrymount TNT ET finished his Show season with a BANG taking yet another breed championship..

Jewitt R&B Show Stopper ET "does the double"

Jewitt R&B Show Stopper ET HCJ.R048 one of our top breeding & flushing ewes took two championships at our local show. Having stood any other continental champion she later took the terminal breeds championship againist theTexel & Zwartble. R&B Show Stopper is a daughter of Jewitt Nkat and sired by Beachy Perfection £4500,00.

Woodies Winning Streak ET Joins The Flock

Purchased at the Edenfauld, Curwin Hill & Woodies Flock Sale. 

Woodies Winning Streak ET - WOO.W104 was purchased for 4,400gns which was the sale top price. Winning Streak is a large powerful muscly gimmer sired by Padkin Sugar Daddy ET (9,000gns). Her dam is the reowned Crocodile ewe. We look forward to seeing what the future holds in the flock for Winning Streak. Also purchased the same day Woodies What A Wonder - WOO.W129 a bare typey gimmer bought for 800gns a Glenkeen Sanders daughter out of a "Crocodile" daughter.

Corra Wally ET is added to the line up

Purchased at the Premier Beltex Show & Sale at Borderway Mart.

Corra Wally ET - GFC.W046 was purchased for 2,600gns. He is a son of the reowned and past stock ram Beachy Perfection out of a Prime Minister ewe who's dam is Nibble Dibble a full sister to Corra Natasha ET the current breed female record holder at 7,800gns. 

Wally is a powerful wide long meaty ram with a tremendous pedigree.

Also purchased on the same day was Mortons Wiggle ET for 1,200gns she had stood breed champion at three shows in the summer. She is sired by Whitehill Too Hot To Handle ET (2,500gns) and out of Dooley Napal's full sister.

Apple Jack is"Snapped Up" in a private deal .....

Purchased privately for an exceptional high disclosed figure, Belvoir View Apple Jack ET is sired by Airyolland Gallaino ET and out of Belvoir View Stella ET a Airyoland Kingsize daughter herself no stranger to show ring success. Apple Jack goes back to many leading UK & Belgium genetics. He was purchased for the depth to his pedigree along with length, power, width, muscle and exceptional growth rate. He is one of the best beltex rams we have ever seen; we could not miss out on the opportunity of securing Apple Jack for the Jewitt flock. We think Apple Jack will be without doubt a great addition to the flock and look forward to seeing his progeny in 2016.

Flock Open Day

We hosted the annual Northern Club open day with just over a 100 visitors came for the afternoon to see both flocks Beltex & Blue Texel. There was plenty to do from Stock judging with the master judge Sue Wilkinson, a trimming demo kindly done by Racheal Story, a lamb buchter demo done by master bucther Tom Wood the lamb kindly provided by the Wood family it was later auctioned off by Bill Nelson from NWA raising over £300, guess the weight of the bull and over 150 head of sheep on show. We would like to thank everyone who came hopefully you enjoyed your afternoon and all sponsors & the northern club who made the day possible.

TNT Crowned Champion at the National Progeny Show

Quarrymount TNT ET crowned as 1st Aged Ram, Male Champion & Breed Champion at the National Progeny Show at Penrith Show under judge Marc Baele from Belgium. The show attraced over 200 beltex entries. TNT was purchased in August 2014 for 2,500gns, he has been used successfully with in the flock and has had a successfully show season.

4th & 6th Aged Ewe

4th Shearling Gimmer

6th Ewe Lamb

2nd Group Of Three Ewe Lambs

TNT "Wins Red" at Royal Welsh Show

Quarrymount TNT ET wins the Aged Ram class at the Royal Welsh Show. Judged by Welsh club member David Jones. In a strong line up of over 10 aged rams.  TNT was purchased in August 2014 for 2,500gns, he has been used successfully with in the flock and has had a successfully show season.

Jewitt As Good As It Gets ET "Lifts the Championship" 

Jewitt As Good As It Gets ET takes the championship title in any other continental at Northumberland County Show. A homebred ewe lamb sired by the renowned imported ram Newton Des Quarte Vents out of Jewitt Tia Maria HCJ.T076.
